Great job! I really like it! This one is particular is very funny and spooky. I actually made a video playing this amazing game with hilarious reactions. I hope you enjoy. Keep the good work!
Sakura no Gakkou is an interesting game with a deep plot, even though there isn’t any voice acting nor an extreme length of time to complete the game. To be honest, this game reminded me of Playdead’s Inside, where the in game characters are faceless and voiceless. But don’t let that deter you away from the plot. I definitely recommend this little indie game for those who wants to have a bit of fun.
An interesting game! The atmosphere was spot on and i was pleasantly surprised with the art at the beginning. Love the lighting and the scene setting! The controls felt pretty tight too, I'd enjoy playing a full version of this!
Thanks for playing our game! Is it possible that you elaborate more on what kind of error did you encounter? Is it the one where it crashes and abruptly ends the game after the player falls asleep? We've yet to find a reliable way to replicate that particular crash on computers we've tested on, so we're still working on fixing this. Sorry about that!
What a great game! I love the way the mood was set since the beginning. The cinematics were amazing and the gameplay as well. I love how the camara was set were I couldn't really see what's in front of me or behind me. That adds a feeling of dread and horror that makes the game even better. 10/10 this kind of game is why I love indie games
This game was amazing! There was so much creepy symbolism and the sound design was awesome as well. I always find that Japanese horror or things based off it are the scariest. This definitely got me good a couple times!
This game had an awesome atmosphere. The visuals were great and the gameplay was solid. The game itself was very well optimized and ran pretty smooth! Everything from the sound engineering to the story was spot on and left me wanting more. My only complaint was how short the game was. There is definitely room for a sequel or spin-off, maybe even a prequel to add onto the game itself. The game was very well done! Thanks so much for making this!
I really enjoyed this game. I wish there was more. The horror aspect of it was the most enjoyable. as well as the atmosphere. Very well made I thought.
Short but amazing! The sound design in this game was great, and I love the art style. This game would be amazing to be expanded upon, but I love it as is! Thanks for making such a fun experience.
I like the school side horror and environment jumpscare. Not sure if my theory on what happened in the school is close or not. But I like to think I got close to the truth.
Thanks to The Tangerine team for creating this game! :) While the environments could be busier / death animations could use some work, given the time you all put this together I enjoyed it and appreciate your hard work!
I loved the art style and, even though the camera angles can be a bit frustrating at times it fit well with the flow of the game. The camera moves reminded me of games such as, the old resident evil and, others I can't recall the titles to right now.
Hey there, I just recently played through Shakura no Gakkou and I quite liked it, though I do think there are some issues.
I’ll start off with the things I liked. The game is visually appealing, it feels like a rather simplistic style at first but it really caught my attention with the use of bright red cherry blossoms, it adds a nice contrast to the otherwise dark environment. The art style of the images in the beginning and end of the game is also very good. The story, while a tad bit confusing, is interesting once you piece it all together, the lack of spoken or even written words makes this a bit tricky though, but I still enjoyed it. Lastly, I liked the overall atmosphere and the way things are presented to the player.
There is one glaring issue that slapped me right in the face immediately, the game’s brightness, it’s turned up so high that at times I could barely tell what was happening in some scenes, though the still images are just fine. A more minor issue I found was with the camera, I have no issue with the fixed camera perspective but at times it follows the character closely when it shouldn’t, like when entering some classrooms, the camera sticks to the character, but with others it follows the character from outside the classroom, I feel that this creates some awkwardness as the player has a high chance of getting stuck on something or lost, given the amount of objects in a room. As I said, a very minor thing but for some reason it stood out to me as an issue.
All in all, as an undergraduate project this is good. A bit of polish and some brightness/contrast correction and you’ve got yourself an interesting and spooky game.
I hope you don’t mind but I made a let’s play video of the game over on my channel.
Really great atmosphere and sound effects! Made it a lot creepier. I liked the art style even though the game was a little dark but I guess that also added to the creepiness.
Greetings from Germany. It is a very creative game, I really enjoyed playing it. The overall atmosphere was just brilliant and the jumpscares really got me. I also love the setting and the story behind, for a free indie horror game it is really good.
Sadly I encountered some bugs while playing. The skirt of the character seems a bit weird after crouching. I think it wasn't supposed to be like that. Same happened with the shirt after I died a few times in the last segment of the game. I also encountered a bug, that the camera didn't move with the character when I wanted to go upstairs. Hope you can fix that because it would be sad if such a good game has this kind of bugs.
I loved this! For an undergraduate final project, this one took my breath away. Gave me some White Day vibes. I do hope we all see longer projects in the future because you guys make an excellent team.
I really enjoyed the game, it left me with a WhiteDay: A Labyrinth named School atmopshere.
Speaking about criticism: I belive you need to do an update by fixing the brightness which is not really attractive to play it because is very high and also the final chasing of the monster. I had to spend around 10 minutes before I could finally make it to the end. The character is just too slow on the final scene for this monster.

such a cool game! Surprised me a couple of times! There were some nice aesthetics like the camera positioning, lighting, and story moments! Great job!

First off, this ran so smooth so high marks from me already.
interesting way of depicting brutality and the scares through out kept my bottom held tight.
I think there was a message in there too at the end but i'm not 100%
Overall lovely game, well made and it ran like a dream, good job!

A very neat game. The story and setting kinda reminded me of corpse party.
Gave it a go...
The game was good, it had a smooth gameplay, I enjoyed it. Good job, but you need to fix the brightness. Overall it is a good game.
